Badass Orange

Hey, its skin... just not human skin lol
Anyway, explanation time.
This is all on the same orange, in one night, done with #3 liner.

(in order of inking)
1. I drew this first with marker, then inked. Thats why there are dots around the lines, marker that didn't wipe off. (design ripped from a t-shirt of someone I watch, I think)
2. I always draw eyes, so ... natural to try right? Not a good idea to shade with the same needle, but I wasn't going to switch it for the orange. And he'll have to deal with that for the rest of his fruity little life.
3. 'Cursed' this is one of those words like in Angels and Demons where its another word if you flip it(see next picture). Still working on the logistics of that. And then shading to give it some bit of dimension.
4. Cursed flipped to read 'Blessed' ...almost. Can't figure out how exactly to make the D of cursed a B when flipped, without distorting too much.. but I'll get it one of these days.
5. A cross I've drawn a hundred times and I needed to fill space and use up more ink. And practice.

Everything but the rose/flower thing in 1. is free handed.
